Health and Lifestyle: How To Become A Morning Person

Many of us in the world struggle with getting up early. From celebrities to high-flying businessmen, we are told all the time that getting up early will help to make us more successful and motivated. However, it is still a struggle. For many of us, the snooze button is just too tempting.

Therefore, we have found some of the best tips from people who actually do get up early. We’ve bundled them in here for you to save you doing as much research. Read on and find out how you could become a bonafide morning person.

Put in the effort the night before.

Little things like planning your outfits will save you time in the morning. As will doing other things like programming your coffee maker. However, if you want to not only save time but have more time to mentally prepare in the morning, you may need to make some changes.

Make sure that you are going to bed at the right time. Remember you should be getting between 6 and 8 hours of sleep per night. If you are getting up earlier, you will need to go to bed earlier.  Make sure your alarm is set and you are good to go.

Completely avoid the snooze button.

Hitting the snooze button is a bad habit. Many of us can admit that we hit that button nearly every morning. However, doing this is a bad idea. Snoozing your alarm will only mean you are going to feel groggier when you eventually get up. When your alarm goes off, try and stand up straight away, you will feel much better for it.

Make sure to do something you enjoy when you wake up.

If you are waking up earlier in order to get something done before work, make sure it is something you enjoy. If it is the gym make sure you have your favourite music playing. If you are doing yoga make it a routine that makes you feel good. Start your day off with a smile.

Find an app that works for you.

If you are still struggling to get up, there are many apps available that can help. Options for those that will make you do a bit of work in the morning include the Spin Me app which will make you turn your phone around along with other physical tasks until the alarm will go off. For a gentler rise, you could try the RadiOn app which harks back to days in the past. It wakes you up to your favourite radio channel and will increase in both volume and brightness until you are awake. A great way to start your day.
